What is a bookmarklet?

A "bookmarklet" is a script or short program that that can be installed on your web browser's bookmarks toolbar or in your bookmarks/favorites list.

How do you install a bookmarklet?

The easiest way to install a bookmarklet is to drag its link to your browser's links toolbar or to your browser's bookmarks menu.   If you need assistance with installation, please contact your local librarian.

The Altmetric bookmarklet provides users alternative metrics for the papers they are reading. Use the link below and follow the instructions to install the bookmarklet. Currently this bookmarklet only works on PubMed, arXiv or pages containing a DOI.

Clinical Tools Bookmarklets

This bookmarklet was designed to allow you to search across CMSRU's Clinical tools.  Simply install the bookmarklet, highlight text and then choose the appropriate clinical tool (Dynamed, BMJ Best Practice, Lexicomp or Essential Evidence Plus)
