OB/GYN is a medical specialty encompassing the care of women's reproductive health, including pregnancy, childbirth, and the health of the female reproductive organs. Obstetrics focuses on the care of pregnant women, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Gynecology deals with the health of the female reproductive organs and related systems, including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and vagina. OB/GYNs are doctors who specialize in both.
