Anatomy Database Tutorials
The library offers access to several anatomy databases that can act as a supplement to the anatomy learned in class/case group or lab. Each offers unique features that will help you learn the aspects of anatomy that you need to know.
These tutorials are meant to be quick dives into the background and search features of these databases to give you, the user, the ability to navigate through to the best evidence/answer possible.
All tutorials are about 5 minutes.

AnatomyTOOL TOOL - Topic Oriented Open Learning. This website is a platform for the learning and teaching of anatomy that offers open, quality reviewed anatomical learning materials and tools. It contains both content and tools, holds a combination of materials within the platform, and references to online materials in a mash-up searchable in several ways. It is an initiative of the anatomy departments at Leiden University Medical Center and the University Maastricht, Netherlands.

AnatomyZone Anatomy Zone is a leading resource for simple and concise 3D anatomy tutorials with over 200 videos and a new range of interactive 3D anatomy models. It may be best used as a good summary or review tool or for the 3D visualization of anatomical topics. This site was created by a certified NHS doctor working in the UK.

The Noted Anatomist With about 260 different videos that help teach anatomy to health professional students; medical, PA, and dental. David Morton Ph.D. has over 20years experience with university teaching and has published numerous textbooks and comprehensive flashcards. He does also offer a tutoring membership for a fee.

TeachMeAnatomy This platform is a comprehensive anatomy encyclopedia with over 400 topics and 1000 images presented in a visually appealing and easy to read format. Each topic combines anatomical knowledge with high-yield clinical pearls. This could be a good reference website when searching for a particular topic. It was created by a team of doctors and medical students. It is available in web format and as an app. There is a paid version that gives further access to their question bank, 3D models, and other study features.

UMich Blue Link The University of Michigan Blue Link is a multimedia-based educational resource for anatomy with cadaveric images, illustrations, interactive files, practice questions, and more.
Anatomage Table
Located on the second floor of the Sewell Campus, the Anatomage Table is available for use by all SOM students. It is a fully segmented, real human, 3D anatomy system that offers an interactive learning approach through virtual dissection. It is presented as a fully interactive, life-sized touch screen experience. With gross anatomy cases, high resolution regional anatomy cases, and over 1500 pathological examples, you can delve into clinical cases, quiz mode, and imaging. You must first be trained to operate the instrument before being allowed to reserve it for use.
