Point-of-Care tools are meant to be utilized within a clinician's workflow, making the research process quick and seamless. Understanding when and how to use these databases and becoming comfortable with the platforms ensures that students, residents, and clinicians are able to gain the evidence necessary to make the best decisions possible for their patients. The main goal of these databases is to help clinicians make accurate evidence-based decisions during their everyday practice.
Foreground questions arise during patient interactions, they are highly focused on the specific problem/question/condition that a specific patient presents. These databases are meant to help answer these types of questions in quickly consumable chunks and bullet points. While it can be important to be fast in these situations, it's more important to be right and these databases can help you be both.
