  • Day of Giving at Rowan-Virtua SOM
    2/26, Sewell Campus, First Floor Cafe | 10–11:00am; Stratford Campus, Academic Center MPR | 12–1:00pm
    • From announcement: "Rowan University's Day of Giving is Wednesday, February 26! Thanks to our generous SOM leadership, SOM alumni, and friends of SOM, there are thousands of dollars in matches and challenges for Rowan-Virtua SOM. Join us in person for fun activities, photo booths, raffle prizes, giveaways, snacks, drinks and more!
      • Not able to join us in person? No problem! Check out other ways to participate:
        • GIVE: Make an early gift — Gifts made now and through February 26 will count toward leaderboards, matches, and challenges, but you'll have to check back to see the results.
        • SIGN UP: Become a virtual ambassador and fundraise for what matters to you!
        • POST: Use our texting stickers and printables to help promote the Day of Giving!"
  • Call for Nominations: 2025 Rowan University Research Awards (Multiple Award Types)
    Due by 2/28/25
    • From announcement: "The Division of University Research is pleased to announce the 2025 awards nominations for excellence in research, scholarly, and/or creative activities by faculty and students. All nominations will be judged by a faculty panel appointed by the Vice President for Research. Awards will be presented as part of Rowan University Research Day held on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, and will be publicly recognized at the Awards Ceremony."

  • Thank you! - 2025 Faculty Development Needs Assessment
    • Thank you all for your input. Your responses will help improve Rowan-Virtua SOM's faculty development program and meet our accreditors' needs. Completions: Paid Faculty - 72/~200; Volunteer Affiliate Faculty - 82. I wanted to provide some preliminary information from the Faculty Development Needs Assessment results and will provide one weekly snippet for the next few weeks.

  • 2025 Run4Rowan
    • From announcement: From 2021 through 2024 the RowanSOM, then Rowan-Virtua SOM Team, has won awards for the highest number of race registrants. As a runner and a first-generation student, I’m excited about the upcoming Run for Rowan 5k (onsite or virtual). I’ve created a Rowan-Virtua SOM Team on the registration website and hope you will join me. Please note that our team consists of runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, etc. - All are welcome.
        Teams are managed by a fundraising campaign on the RunSignUp page. Please see below for more information from the Rowan Alumni Association. Please note that you need to indicate a Fundraising Goal when joining the Team but will not be responsible for any monies not raised.

    Proposals due 3/3, Gifts Conference 3/28, 9am-12pm, Glassboro Campus
    • From announcement: "The Rowan Teaching Connection (RTC) and the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning invite all faculty, librarians, and graduate students to submit an application to present at this year's Great Ideas for Teaching Students (GIFTS) Mini-Conference. Presenters accepted to share their GIFTS will engage colleagues in an 8-10 minute demo of a favorite teaching activity, assignment, or technique that has had an effect on their teaching and their students' experience in their class. GIFTS should be open enough to be adoptable and adaptable across disciplines."
