As I see and hear more and more about Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education, I'm creating a special "Hot Topics" section below to include information I discover. This section will continue as long as it's needed. Please let me know if you have a resource or resources to share.

A reminder that all Faculty Focus Newsletter and Update issues are available from the Faculty Focus Archive.

I thank all who help with content curation and those who have shared items with me for distribution.

Thank you, Steve

Announcements

  • Rowan-Virtua SOM Student Handbook AY 2023-2024
  • Rowan University has recently become a member of the ORCID-US Consortium.
    • From announcement: "ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier) offers a free way to maintain a comprehensive online record of your academic career by creating a unique, open digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher with a shared or similar name to yours. Including your ORCID number on a personal website, CV, tenure or promotion application, e-mail signature or grant application provides an easy link to your scholarly record. In addition, adding your ORCID to submitted manuscripts allows many publishers to automatically add your publications to your record. However, you retain the ability to add or remove information and control who can see it. As a member of the consortium, Rowan-based researchers can connect their Rowan identity to their ORCiD account. Doing so both helps keep your account current and offers the ease of signing in with your Rowan NetID."
We encourage you to set up an ORCID account, or connect your existing record to Rowan, to begin taking advantage of its many benefits. Please contact Lisa Price in the Health Sciences Library if you have any questions or need assistance
